Summer. Films. 2 of my favourite things. Combine them and you get the best thing in the world (shared place with Christmas films). My sis did a blog about books to read this summer and I am not really a book reader (I hate dislexia) so I decided to do basically the same things, but than with films (cause, why not, right?)
-It takes two
I love this film! I saw it a few days ago and I just loved it! It is such a great feel good film and that is all you want in Summer right? It is a film from the eighties so the fashion is so great, haha.
Even tough it is originally a Christmas film, I still watch this movie all year round. Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz are amazing and the storyline is so friggin’ original
-The sound of music
“The hills are alive, with the sound of music”. A classic. And a damn great one! The story may not be as feel good as the other ones, but it still is a feel good film, with a serious subject and great songs! I’m not the biggest musical fan, but I do love this.
Just two thins; Julia Roberst and Hugh Grant. If that doesn’t say enough…
-Isn’t it romantic
Rebel Wilson did it again ladies and gentleman. And she didn’t do it alone. She did it toghether with Liam Hemsworth, Adam DeVine (not Levine) and Priyanka Chopra. If those names don’t mean a lot to you, don’t worry, just watch the movie! You’ll understand me!
“You’re the one that I want, oeh, oeh, oeh, honey”. If you can’t sing these words with me, you gotta watcht this film (if you can, watch it again) cause it’s so great! It makes me happy and even the one that hates musicals the most probably knows one of the songs from the movie!
-Beauty and the beast
The moment I knew that this Disney classic was made into a real life version, with Emma friggin’ Watson, I knew I was going to love this film. The moment I saw it in the Cinema, I knew I loved it, so if you haven’t seen it, I’d strongly reccomand it!
Bonus: Julia’s tip
I have no idea if this film is great, but the trailer seems awesome and Julia loves it so it is probably great!
Now, how are you going to watch the film? At home in front of the TV? Yes, that is a way. Or are you going to watch it outside? I love to dump a lot of blankets, pillows and mattresses on the ground and invite my friends over. I use a projector to project the film on the back of our house or on a white sheet that I hang some were in our garden. It is the most cosy thing ever!
So, with all that, go and have the best film night ever! Maybe my next post will be about film food?
